Pictures used for the Free Online Jigsaw Puzzles
I love taking pictures and for several years have used a range of digital cameras. My latest purchase is the excellent Panasonic DMC-TZ10 purchased online from Amazon. This fantastic camera has a Leica lens and I leave most of my exposure and focusing to Intelligent Automatic or iA as shown on the camera. I also have an older Panasonic and larger Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 that I have used reliably for over 3 years. While this site is mainly a free jigsaw puzzle website it also has the original pictures shown - there is links to the pictures from the jigsaw puzzle page. The picture page also has a link to a larger resolution image (by clicking on the picture) and this is set at 1200x px which can if you wish be used as a background image, wallpaper on your computer or even printed out. All pictures are covered by a Creative Commons 3.0 license - if you use them on a blog or website please provide a link back (attribution) to this website. Please do not hot link to the image, copy it to your own website first, thanks. Under this usage please do not use more than 5 images from this website without permission. If you need more pictures for a specific project then please contact me by e-mail and I will see if I can help with other unique pictures, duplicating my content is not an option, nor good for the internet.
Obviously to create a wide range of jigsaw puzzles I need images / pictures with a wide range of topics and for this I buy old books with pictures that are now out of copyright, books that are older than 1940 in other words. I buy these from the Oxfam online bookshop, AbeBooks UK and AbeBooks US (an Amazon company) and also from eBay UK. Some images are also images that are open source, public domain or without copyright - for example images from NASA. Where I use such images to create jigsaw puzzles I provide links back to the originating author.
Make me a jigsaw
Millions of people worldwide take photographs, many are pictures I will never be able to take for simple reasons, I can't get to that place on earth, some pictures will be far superior to mine as they are taken by real photographers, not an amateur like me. Other pictures will be taken of animals and pets, places and buildings that mean something to an individual and with to share this as a bit of fun. Well if you want to send me a good quality large picture then I may be able to make it into an online jigsaw puzzle for you and add it to a jigsaw website, no promises as it all takes time. To help keep the Internet safe I do not use pictures of people or kids, and all pictures are planned to be family friendly. So if you want to share your picture and have it made into a free online jigsaw puzzle then e-mail them to us at contact@jigsaw.ws - please only send images you own or have taken yourself (you own copyright) and are willing to share under a Creative Commons 3.0 license. If you have a blog or website we will provide acknowledgement by providing a link to you on the page(s) with your pictures / jigsaw puzzles.
